Hello! Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by!

My name is Aude, and I’m a self-taught illustrator based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Though originally from France, Scotland has been my home for many years. Its stunning landscape and wildlife are my greatest sources of inspiration and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

As cliché as it might sound, I love to draw. I always have, and I always will. But maybe more importantly, I love stories! I love reading stories, and I love telling stories.

To say that I’ve taken the long and winding road to becoming a professional illustrator would be quite the understatement. Life can be funny like that. I first studied and worked in film, TV production, and then web and graphic design, creating a variety of visual stories. This was followed by a few years studying cultural and historical anthropology and listening to other people’s stories. I then made my way back to art, building and running a successful small embroidery business. When that business grew too big to manage just by myself, I knew it was time for a change.

That is when I decided to give illustration a proper go and I have been thoroughly enjoying it ever since! It feels right in a way that my previous endeavours never did, and I couldn’t be happier.
