My name is Aude. I'm a translator and tech editor based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I offer high-quality, reliable work and a friendly, professional service.
I translate a variety of texts from English into French, and from French into English. My services also include revisions of copy written by native and non-native speakers, transcriptions of audio and video files, and proofreading.
Working both in English and in French, I tech edit knitting patterns with a focus on socks and accessories.

I translate a wide variety of knitting patterns, be they garments, socks, or accessories. I also occasionally translate websites and magazine articles related to knitting.
ART & CULTURE
I have been working with museums and other cultural institutions for several years, translating various types of exhibition-related materials such as catalogues, artists' interviews, artwork descriptions, and programmes.
My aim is to help you create high quality error-free patterns that are clear,
complete and consistent. (Please note that I do not grade patterns.) I specialise in:
Cuff-down, toe-up, shorties, "regular", or knee-high, I tech edit all sorts of sock patterns.
I also tech-edit a variety of accessories patterns including, though not limited to, hats, scarves, shawls, mittens, and gloves.
EACH PROJECT IS UNIQUE.
My rates take into consideration the nature, technical complexity and urgency of your project.
Knitting translation and tech editing projects are billed on an hourly basis in 15-minute increments with a one hour minimum.
Translation projects for the art and culture industry are billed by the word.
